Mentoring and evaluating projects

Our school regularly hosts several events each semester where students have the opportunity to work on various innovative projects individually or in teams throughout the semester. The Simonyi Hackathon, the Simonyi Incubation Program, and the iExpo offer great opportunities for this. You have the opportunity to participate as a mentor or judge in each program, leveraging your professional experience.

Simonyi Hackathon: This hackathon is a one-and-a-half day idea competition where students, with the support of mentors and experts, seek innovative solutions to a specific problem within a given topic. At the end of the second day, the professional jury evaluates the 2-minute pitch presentations and selects the winners.

Final Pitch: At this event, projects developed in the Simonyi Incubation Program are evaluated, scored, and rated by a professional committee. The goal of the event is to help projects acquire capital and partners, and to validate their products or services.

iExpo: iExpo is an event where students present their projects, research, and business ideas in a reverse job fair format. Participants have the opportunity to showcase not only their professional achievements but also their personal skills. The event provides an excellent opportunity for companies looking for future employees to learn about our students' and student teams' capabilities.

If you would like to return to the Pécs Business School and mentor and evaluate our students' projects, please contact the faculty organization coordinating the projects, the Center for Applied Learning (CAL), at one of the following email addresses.
